June was another memorable month for the Wakelin family. We traveled to Seattle to celebrate our oldest daughter, Natalie, as she graduated with her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has already accepted a position with the Snohomish County School District and will begin her career this fall. We couldn't be prouder of everything she has accomplished and know she will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the students and families she serves.
After graduation, the family headed to Costa Rica to relax and celebrate both Natalie and Riley. With Riley having completed her undergrad degree in May, it was the perfect opportunity to recognize this special milestone as both of our children prepare to begin the next chapter of their lives and enter the workforce. This was our first time to Costa Rica. The trip was a fantastic balance of rest, relaxation and adventure. One afternoon we headed out on a boat to fish, snorkel and enjoy some ocean therapy. We also had the SUPERMAN zip line adventure. Nicola got past her fear and did it! It was a great way to celebrate the kids, spend some quality family time and explore Costa Rica.
