Book Review: All Carry by Gene Wojciechowski

Book Review: All Carry by Gene Wojciechowski

I recently finished All Carry by Gene Wojciechowski, and I thought it was a pretty good book. The story follows a recently laid-off golf TV personality and a down-on-his-luck caddie whose lives become connected through a mysterious set of golf clubs made for Jack Nicklaus.

The book combines golf, humor, friendship and a little bit of magic. It also has an underlying story about second chances and trying to repair the relationships and mistakes we accumulate throughout our lives. What I liked most was that it was simply an easy and entertaining book to read.

Golfers will certainly appreciate the setting and many of the details, but you do not have to be a serious golfer to enjoy the story. The characters are likable, the book moves along quickly, and it never takes itself too seriously.

All Carry probably will not change the way you look at the world, but not every book needs to do that. Sometimes it is enough for a book to be fun, uplifting and something you look forward to picking up again. This one accomplished that for me.

I would recommend it to golfers and to anyone looking for a light, feel-good story.
